really liked it

Like many other people, I liked the TV show inspired by this book better than the original, mainly due to their respective handling of side characters: Deb, Batista, LaGuerta. One plot aspect for which the book could've been a better vehicle than screen was Dexter's doubts whether he himself was the killer - but I felt the novel didn't go far enough down that road and/or started exploring it too late through the book. An interesting read overall, and I did enjoy the descriptions of feelings, especially fear, in visceral terms.
