it was ok
bookshelves: for-fun

He wrote it when he was 22 or 23 and it shows. It's exactly what a early 20-something would write: a sort of existential crisis that pervades throughout the character's adventures, which just sort of haphazardly take place without any driving plot or action. It really is a "diary" in the sense that it is just someone recording various crazy experiences with odd friends and coworkers and then attempting to glean some sort of meaning out of those happenings but doing so only halfheartedly and with no real end goal in sight. Still, it's a pretty entertaining account of boozing it up at a failing newspaper full of wineheads in Puerto Rico.
