Allergic to Death (A Gourmet De-Lite Mystery, #1)

Gigi was definitely the typical very amateur sleuth and did some things that didn't seem very smart, but she was kind of endearing, so I couldn't really fault her too much for wanting to catch a killer and clear her brand name of having killed someone. She was kind of funny sometimes, like when she and Sienna were snooping around and little Reg got away from them. I loved how she adopted the little Westie, Reg! She got a really nice ending from that particular little happening too. Sienna was a great bestie, although she seemed a little distracted, since at first she was suspecting her husband of seeing someone else. I felt so bad for her wanting to be a mom so much but having had no luck so far. Alice was a fun character, very down to earth and probably Gigi's nicest customer who actually did what she was supposed to on her diet by eating the gourmet light foods that Gigi made for her and not cheating like some of her other customers did.
I'm definitely interested in continuing to read the series. I'm seeing a possible love connection somewhere along the line, and it'll be interesting to see how it develops! Gigi was hoping for a business deal, so I'm hoping that now the murder was cleared up, maybe that'll come through for her. I'd guessed the killer before Gigi did, but I have a feeling that the author purposely left that clue to see if readers would pick up on it.
