it was amazing

I really enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures in this book. At first I was a little confused as to why each page had one full picture and then a title to the illustration. However, after reading the introduction it all makes sense. The twelve pictures that are drawings done by Harris Burdick. He was supposed to bring the stories for the drawings but never did. Because of this, Van Allsburg was able to create a book the stretches the child's imagination. I think this would be great book for children to read because they are able to see the illustration, get some inspiration through the title, and then finish the story for themselves. I am glad that I picked out "The Mysteries of Harris Burdick" to read and enjoy.
