it was ok
bookshelves: sci-fi

I'm a big Heinlein fan but...

This is the most boring sci-fi space war book that anyone could possibly write. It reads more like an idea for a book than an actual novel. I know it's early (1959), but who would care, then or now, to read pages and pages about a military ranking system? The only interesting parts were the very beginning and the very end. I mean, whatever happened to Carmen and his friend from the beginning of the book? And how could someone have possibly read this and thought, "ooh, let's make a movie out of this one!"?
