The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey is the sequel to the outrageously terrifying but wildly compelling The Fifth Wave which was released in May 2013. Like the earlier book, this mishmash of science fiction, fantasy, adventure, romance and paranormal will blow away readers with excitement and suspense as author Rick Yancey crafted a truly breathtaking page-turner that will not let up until the final page. This is a story told on an epic scale that will leave readers clamoring more.

Those who have read The Fifth Wave will definitely love to get another glimpse of Evan and Cassie. Then there is Ringer who plays an important part in the overall development of the story. What make The Infinite Sea such an enjoyable read for me is the twists and surprises that come with each turn of the page as Rick Yancey layered plotting makes it difficult to guess what will come next. It is an endless ride of surprises leaving the best for the last.

Author Rick Yancey's writing style, the eclectic cast of characters, the suspense, and excitement beautifully combined to make this book a great read. It is one you cannot afford to miss. Fast-paced, thrilling, entertaining, scary but hugely enjoyable, The Infinite Sea is a notch above The Fifth Wave, and one of the best books I've read in its genre. And judging by the first two books, The Fifth Wave is one of the best trilogies I have ever read.
