Make no mistake, this is a science book through and through. The research is flawless and well documented. But this book also takes something mysterious and strips it down to its bare parts, which can make for some tedious reading. She succeeds in researching her subject but I feel that this book would have worked better for me had she focused on more of the mediums and the cons than the academic building of the trans continental organizations behind the research. I wished she focused more on the individuals rather than the publications. But I think that my disappointment was due to my own expectations rather than a shortcoming on the author's part.

Julie Hmmm.... this sounds like something I would love. When you say that she delves into the research groups, is she focusing of the politics, or the actual research? If it's the latter, then I think I'll give this one a try.... I love it when people can give solid, concrete explanations for odd phenomena.

Luci Its the research- let me know if you want me to bring it today.
