really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, 2010, humor

I understand why this book was recommended to me. It's funny, and makes fun of itself and the fantasy genre as much as anything else. It's not the funniest book I've ever read, but I'm told that they get better through the series.

Basic plot: Rincewind the wizard has a difficult life and has to deal with a man named Twoflower, Discworld's first tourist. Hilarious antics ensue.

Favorite things from the book: the Luggage, Death's snarky commentary, and how much punishment Rincewind takes and still manages to keep going. There's a lot of fun stuff here and I look forward to continuing the series.
