I really enjoyed this book. Azadeh was raised in sunny California with her ex-patriate family. As a young woman, she decides to move back to Tehran where her family was from. She's caught in between being an American and an Iranian. The book details Azadeh confronting a very different culture in Iran where she doesn't quite fit in. The end of the book details Azadeh moving back from Iran to the United States after 9/11.

This is a very interesting memoir.
