The room was plunged into darkness. Then came a different voice. "Are you a God-fearing man?" That was all, and a few seconds later, there came a terrible scream, which sent the boy running from the Hall. <-- *whimper*" 7 comments

Erin ☕ *Proud Book Hoarder* Well, that's an interesting synopsis!

Wendy Darling It's actually a quote from the first page of the book. :)

Cara You gotta write a review for this one fast! I can't wait to see what you think. It looks so promising;)

Crowinator Is it super scary? I want to read some scary books this October -- I used to read a lot more horror and I miss it.

Wendy Darling I should have it up tomorrow, Cara. :) This surprised me in a really good way, even though I don't think the style will be for everyone.

There were a few parts which made me want my mommy, Crowinator. :(

Crowinator Oh, good! Just what I'm looking for. (c:

Wendy Darling I've been in a scary book mood recently, too! It must be the month of October...or maybe it's just I'm feeling eeeevil.

Jessa Can't wait to read your review of this :)

Jessa LOL @ "There were a few parts which made me want my mommy.." and "...or maybe it's just I'm feeling eeeevil."

Wendy Darling Hah, there were parts that really freaked me out, Jessica. But in a really good way.

Oooh, now I really want to read it! It has been a very long time since I have read a thoroughly scary book!

HєllyBєlly Sounds scary... but I also feel the need to feed the crocodile (the hungry one inside me).

Wendy Darling Hah! I think your crocodile might like this one, Helly. It definitely keeps you guessing throughout the whole thing.

message 14: by Amy (new) - rated it 4 stars

Amy Darn you, Wendy! As usual, I read this on your recommendation...and loved it. :)

Wendy Darling Hee hee...I'm glad, Amy! It won't be a book everyone appreciates, but I'm glad you did. :) I love the atmospheric creepiness and the ambiguity.

Merary Um . . . review?

message 17: by Vane (new) - rated it 4 stars

Vane J. I'm glad you liked it. It was utterly creepy and haunting but fantastic all the same.
