I wouldn't so much classify this as a romance. There is a romance and even a brief love triangle, but it doesn't take up the majority of the book. It runs more like a western. The story was well written and kept me engaged. I don't typically read westerns, so I'm not the target audience. The Ranger against the gang of outlaws was interesting and what I would typically expect in a western. I was curious about who all was involved and how this was going to affect this small town. I wasn't to impressed with the way the romance progressed. I don't think I would have known they had a romance progressing if they didn't occasionally think they had feelings for one another. The actions didn't really indicate more than a tentative friendship maybe. The love triangle was barely even an issue. I wasn't happy about how that was ended. It was the easy way out and I rarely find a story that pulls that off.
