An entertaining historical fiction that takes place in Poland during the late 1700's as the country is being torn apart by Russia's Catherine. Lots of drama and an evil cousin who is the perfect villain that occasionally surprises the reader with a kind action. This isn't the best historical fiction I've ever come across and the writing isn't quite as moving as some of the recent books I have read but all in all it was a fun read. I plan to read the sequel Against a Crimson Sky to see how everything pans out.
