This novel incorporates the concepts found in the non-fiction book called _The Four Seasons of Marriage._

This book was realistic in its portrayal of people, both Christian and non-Christian, as well as marriages and marital problems. I actually found most of the characters in the novel very annoying. I really dislked the main female character, so much so, that I asked my husband for his perspective on the story so I could feel more balanced about the whole thing.
