First thing I have to say is that this book is not about a Serial Killer. It actually bothers me that this is written on the front.

"The Priest" was only responsible for the death of one woman, and that was accidental, she had a bad heart and died, he didn't set out to kill her. Other than that he was viciously attacking girls/women but hadn't killed anyone else.

Anyway, had to clear that up! Other than that little detail bothering me I have to say I quite enjoyed this book, although it took me a few chapters to really get into it. Once I did though I found it hard to stop reading, the main characters Mike Mulcahy and Siobhan Fallon are well written and believable and their relationship a complicated but very interesting one. And the story keeps your attention right until the very end. For a debut novel it was very well written, and I'll be looking out for more books by Gerard O'Donovan.
