it was amazing
bookshelves: educational-fiction, linguistics, politics, wishlist

When I picked up this book, I figured it would be a cute, silly ode to the alphabet, with a nod to spelling fanatics and a deprecating snub on the text-messaging generation. I had no idea I was opening a thought-provoking and insightful fable of misbegotten political censorship and religious extremism. There is a depth to the story that carries its message far beyond the lexicographical plot. I found it fascinating, engaging, and rewarding.
