Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us

This was a good book when trying to find what company to work for. It doesn't appear that it would be that way, but a lot of the advice was how employers should treat employees; it helps you understand how employees (you!) are happiest.
Referencing a few studies and invoking the reader's intuition, Pink explains why people actually want to solve problems and accomplish impressive things, but some societal conventions such as work hours take away from people's desire to work. Employers can leverage the knowledge here to get more productive employees; happy employees are productive employees. Employees can use this book to find a employer who understands how to retain employees.
