How do you review something like the Odyssey? It almost seems silly. For kids reading this in high school- I really urge you to take it seriously, it will dramatically increase your awareness during movies, songs, and other readings. For everyone else, its such a short read, you should enjoy it!
When people think of honor, you think of men keeping their word, you think of knights protecting the weak, battle prowess, strength of character and body. When people think of honor they do not think of Achilles having a hissy fit and allowing most of his men to die when they are shamed into action by his passive aggressive refusal to fight until Briseis is returned. I encourage people to take a second look at Hector, a truly unsung hero in the book. He puts family and duty first, before his own aristeia.
