bookshelves: philosophy, hard-science
Read in January, 2004

Dawkins at his scientific best. A wonderful explanation of genetic theory, chock full of delightful and bizarre real-world examples (mind control caterpillars!) This text is greatly improved if read with Robert Axelrod's essays on game theory and tit-for-tat strategy.
