Bad things start happening in 10 year old Pia's small German village after her grandmother goes up in flames - and her classmates blame her. Now only one boy - Stink Stefan, the school outcast - will be her friend. Together they try to determine the source of the mysterious happenings in Bad Munstereifel.
This story was hard to classify - a bit of mystery, a bit based on German fairy tales, a bit of thriller - but it made for interesting reading.
