really liked it
bookshelves: biography, theatre, tv-radio

I like Stephen Fry but don't buy into some of the adulation that surrounds him, and I don't think he does either, but is quite happy to make it pay while it lasts, hence his ubiquity on our screens, radios and the written medium. However, this book also goes some way to explain his driven nature, and I suppose given that I suffer from some of the same traits (just less publicly) I found a lot of this book quite interesting. I was lent this and haven't yet read the first volume of his memoirs "Moab is my Washpot" but as it covers the beginnings of his more public persona, it can be read on its own without knowing what went before.
