Loved this book! Xypher is a Dream-Hunter who has spent a long time in Tartarus being tortured and now he has one month on earth to redeem himself. He has resided himself to the fact that he will be going back, but he is determined not to go alone. All Xypher wants and cares about is getting revenge on the woman who betrayed him and set him to Tartarus, Satara. But she knows he's coming for her and sends a Demon to kill him. Simone Dubois is a medical examiner with a real knack for the job, because she can see the dead. When she gets caught in the crossfires of Xypher and Satara's fight she gets "attached" to Xypher, in the kind of way you cannot get unattached or they'll both die.

Xypher is hot and angry and when the book starts you have to wonder how anyone could ever love him, especially when you know what he's done and what he is but in the end (like all SK's male leads) you fall hopelessly in love with him. I think SK just knows how much women love a broken man who just needs someone to show him love.

Simone is awesome, she is sarcastic and independent. She loves Jesse and even though he is a ghost she treats him like a person. He even has his own bedroom :) I loved that Simone had this connection to the supernatural world and knew about death... it just made her stronger when it came to fights and the weird stuff that popped up. Xypher didn't need to hide anything from her, even though he hid the best part of himself sometimes.

This book is full of excitement, romance and secrets. It is a must read for anyone who loves SK, the Dark-Hunter series or just paranormal romance.
