This was an ok book. I really wanted to like the character more, but I couldn't trust her. Just when I thought she was on a good path, she would make some silly emotional error and I wanted to stop reading. This is about a young bride, who, when her husband is injured fighting for the IRA, leaves Ireland for America. She goes there to earn money and send it home to pay for his surgery, but while she is there she "discovers who she really is," and that was just kind of annoying to me. I'll not spoil it for you, but it ends relatively satisfactorily, given the iffy parts in the middle.
