** spoiler alert ** Good Book. It was very interesting from start to finish. In the book, Darren and his friend, Steve, got tickets to a illegal showing of a freak show. There, Steve recognized one of the freaks as being a vampire. Steve confronted the vampire and forced him into turning Steve into a vampire assisant. The vampire agreed, but soon found put that Steve had evil blood. After the show, Darren steals the vampires spider. The spider bites Steve and he has few time left. Darren finds the vampire and ultimately decides to trade saving Steve and Darren becoming a vampire's assistant.
Darren- Protaganist, Author of the book
Steve- Darren's bestfriend
Mr. Crepsley- Vampire who bloods Darren
Annie- Darren's little sister
Darren wanted to save Steve from ultimate death by Darren becoming a vampire's assistant. Darren does not want to give up his life as a normal human being, but wants to save Steve. I liked how the book ended. Darren became the vampire's assistant. This book is similar to Dexter.
