it was amazing

I absolutely LOVED this book and it's not only in my top 10 of the year for 2017, but my top 10 of all time favorite books. Laura writes a beautiful, second chance romance in The Life We Almost Had. She has got the small town romance down to an art. I feel like Sweet Home could have been the town I grew up in and felt like Iva and Berlin could have been my next door neighbors as she paints such a vivid picture of Sweet Home and the characters in it. I absolutely love the fact that Laura writes amazing romances without graphic sex (at least in this one she does, I still have a few more of hers to read). Second chance romances that are "clean" are my absolute favorite ones to read. I could put this novel in the hands of a teen and not feel like I'm giving them anything other than a good old fashioned love story, which is exactly what this one is. You will fall in love with Iva and Berlin and their story and then feel your heart break a little bit as their story unfolds, and then a lot, but ultimately Laura ends this novel just the way it was meant to be, and I hope you're as happy with the ending as I was! If you like second chance romances, make sure you pick this one up!!!!
