really liked it
bookshelves: nonfiction
Read from August 12 to 19, 2011

Why didn't Mary Roach talk about female astronauts on their periods? I know there aren't that many of them, but still, that would have been just as rich a source of material (I would think) as all the poop, pee, vomit, sex, and weightlessness that she went into such gory detail about.

Still, so so so so many great tidbits of information that I mined for (un)pleasant dinner conversations in the future, and for spicing up small talk. "Did you know that in space, astronauts...?" I can see myself saying long after I've returned this book to the library.

Roach is funny as well as informative. Be careful reading this in public - I laughed out loud too many times to count.
