A little bit slow to start, brutal in the middle, but ultimately worth it in the end. After running from his village when the rebel army attacks, Ishmael is recruited as a child soldier at the age of twelve and spends two years fighting against the rebel army, before being rescued and rehabilitated by the U.N.
