really liked it

It took me two attempts to read this book. I tried once several years ago and just couldn't grok it, but I picked it up again this year and found myself enjoying it immensely. The 1960's view toward women was a little disconcerting, but overall I found the book entertaining and it really made me think. I did enjoy the first two-thirds of the book the most. The protagonist's character changes vastly throughout the book and I don't know that I quite like what he became. Still a good read though, and one that I couldn't put down once I got into it.
