The government finds a creature that appears to be a demon in a state of hibernation. They lock him a high security facility and do experiments on him for a generation. They have lots of time to prepare, but also lots of time to become complacent. Then he wakes up.

This is a highly entertaining yarn and kept me clicking through the Kindle pages. It was also darkly hilarious.

Two minor nits that bothered me just because I know something about them - Sun claims that she got out of her student loans by declaring bankruptcy. You can't do this. Anyone who has ever faced down huge amounts school debt knows that bankruptcy doesn't get you off the hook. #2 - Sun says she became a veterinarian by "studying online" after having her medical license revoked. Getting into vet school is more difficult than getting into medical school, because there are far fewer veterinary programs. Learning multiple species is extremely challenging. The idea that a medical failure could easily get into a vet school and then somehow study online is just laughable and insulting to veterinarians.

Those things are just factual errors with minimal bearing on the plot. They will not decrease your enjoyment of the story in the slightest.
