it was amazing

Mia Kendrick has come back from her stint in Europe to take the opportunity to run Kendrick place. She is trying hard to prove to her father and brother that she can handle business matters just as well as they can. Everything is going well except her run-ins with Brady Davis. Brady is concerned that Mia is just in it for big business. He's afraid that it will interrupt the close-knit community that they have there. Sparks fly between the two and the more they butt heads the closer they get to something more.

In an Oyster Shell - A satisfying romance that is clean. It's nearly perfect!

The Pearls - The setting is an old building where there are residents that have made a community. The camaraderie between the tenants makes for a cozy atmosphere that is tangible to the reader. The history behind the building helps set the ambiance for the book. The building is the setting for the whole series and it really works well.

The characters were distinctive and well-done. Mia was a strong heiress but she was compassionate and malleable. Brady was a heart-warming character that was down to earth. The compliment of Mia and Brady was nice. They were from different sides of the tracks but met in the middle somehow.

The romance was slow-burning. It really went from a hate to love relationship. It was clean which I really liked. Even though it was clean there was still some tangible heat.

This book was really good. It was nearly perfect the first 5 pearls I've given in a while.

5 Pearls!
