You don't see too many picture books in which a character realizes he was wrong about something and consciously goes about trying to make amends the way the beaver does in this book, and I like how Oldland makes the lesson palatable with humor (the bear responding to beaver getting out of the hospital by running away and shouting "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" made me laugh hard). A nice addition to library collections.

Erin One that does is "A Fine, Fine School" by Sharon Creech--and it's an _adult_ realizing that he's wrong too. ;)
