Overall, eh. The plot was solid, but the characters (the lead, especially) were just really bland. I didn't really understand why people behaved as they did, and worse, I didn't care.

I'm reminded of a really cruel review I once read, of the movie Grease: "Olivia Newton-John, toothy and unspeakably bland, makes you wish that a juvenile delinquent would come along and stomp on her. " That's sort of how I felt about most of these characters (well, minus the toothy bit).

To continue with the movie theme, I felt a lot like the kid at the beginning of The Princess Bride, because I kept thinking, "When does it get good?"
