The book is written in a more psycho-sociological genre than similar books on the topic -- they speaking a terminology such as "outside the box, changing the paradigm"' and similar mantras of the illiterarti. This book is written for the practioner, the speaker, and anyone else who wants to know the difference between persuasion and manipulation and how to practice and detect one over the other. It is written in quite an accesable style. You will get the point. It may stay with you.

If anyone read a marketing book by Dr. Philip Kotler, one can see what sets him apart from a number of others who write marketing books. Although a different topic, the author of Persuasion is in Kottler's league.
