An epic "biography" narrated by 111-year-old Jack Crabb who was raised by the Cheyenne. He met Custer, Earp, and Hickok in his travels, and participated in every important battle during his lifetime. This story covers the first third of his life. At the end of the book, the epilogue reads: "Jack Crabb was either the most neglected hero in the history of this country or a liar of insane proportions."

The writing is entertaining, however I found it dragged a bit at the end.
