it was amazing

This sweet little novella takes place during book 1 of the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series and centers on the first true meeting of the most absurdly adorable couple ever, Zuzanna and Mik. I already love them in the series but here they get more of a starring role as it not only focuses on them but switches between their first-person perspectives. They're both delightful and hilarious and the story is SO CUTE I can't stand it.

If you read the series (which you should) then definitely don't skip this one, especially if you like Z&M as much as I do. I'm not even normally that into sweet, healthy romance (usually more the dark and doomed variety, if any) so that should tell you something. I'm so enamored by Laini Taylor's writing — it's magical not only in subject but quality.

Now, onto book 3 which I finally tracked down!
