A neat idea--Witchcraft hysteria was a reaction to 2nd Indian War/constant potential for Native violence. Norton smartly describes the violent lives on colonists in Maine and Northern Massachusetts and the connections of the accusers to various events in the war. Definitely makes sense that might have contributed to the hysteria. The argument falls a little short as she gets further into the trials, but still a necessary addition to the study.
