MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE BOOK:
This was an interrupted read for me, so excuse the reading dates. Overall, I couldn’t engage with this.

CHARACTERS/DYNAMICS:
- honestly… who cares

PLOT:
- this book was dull the entire time. Maybe mysteries aren’t for me. I enjoy watching them, but reading them feels stale.

STRUCTURE:
- if you like the pacing of Miss Peregrine, as well as the BNW images, you’re going to enjoy this.

THEMES:
- feminism
- ... medical... stuff

THE ENDING:
I do like how it wrapped up. I wasn’t expecting the sequels to continue with the same characters. This disappoints me, but I find Dracula more intriguing than Jack the Ripper.

IMPACT:
Yes hi I will probably need to reread this when I’m in the mood, but for now: nope I did not enjoy a single moment.

So far it reminds me of a dark Felicity Montague."
