This was an interesting finale to the Women of the Otherworld series. Although we got cameos from almost every important female who has graced the series, this was still mostly about Savannah and Eve and the demon war. I felt like I was missing something, like I hadn't paid enough attention to the details of past novels, but I decided it didn't matter, because Savannah, even without her powers is pretty formidable. And when she's surrounded by her allies she realizes that power is really more than magic. Johanna Parker does a very good job of drawing the listener into the story. A few small mispronounciations, but nothing terrible, nothing that would drive away fans. It was nice to see a closed-end series end on a high note. It doesn't mean there can't be more stories in this world but these characters are free to go on with their lives.
