An emotion filled captivating story…

His reckless daredevil ways got Cash Boyd into his current predicament, his body damaged, not healing on its own fast enough for his liking and he won’t accept therapeutic assistance. Nothing stopped him from bull riding, not even a prior rodeo accident. His lucrative edgy nightclubs weren’t enough of a high, the adrenaline rush of controlling the bull was what he craved and then he met the most ornery of bulls. When his father hires a professional to help him he does everything he can to chase her away, yet he doesn’t really want her to go, she’s beautiful, sexy and her dedication and spunk intrigue him.

Needing a change of scenery from Chicago physical therapist Erin Stone took a job in Montana helping a sheriff’s son, an injured bull rider. Nothing prepared her for the arrogance in the gorgeous, sexy man she was to meet or the level of animosity he would display at the thought of having someone help him even having dealt with difficult patients before. To make matters worse Erin is physically attracted to the man in a way she’s never been before which complicates her job by threatening her professional detachment and reputation. This stubborn man wants to do things on his own whether it’s his best interests or not. The incessant games he plays to avoid Erin try her patience and cause no end of frustration but she’s determined to help him. Will she be able to keep her heart whole while doing so?

It’s not surprising that an alpha male who is highly independent would have a hard time letting go of his control when injured, accepting let alone admitting that he needs assistance is a foreign concept albeit a necessary one. It just takes the right person to make him see reason if one can hold their course as did Erin. I loved the push and pull between these two, their provocative chemistry kept them circling each other and the amusing ways Cash hid made the feisty Erin try harder to keep his attention focused on healing. They’re both quite stubborn and it was a matter of who would give in first, an arrangement is finally acceded to that worked in more ways than either expected.

This story is told in dual points of view with humorous dialogue interspersed between the palpable sexual tension. Though they both kept secrets there was no serious relationship angst which I found refreshing. Erin did have reason to want to stay aloof to relationships which Cash had to overcome. The supporting cast of characters were interesting, many who loved to meddle. This read was enjoyable, an emotion filled captivating story with much frustration and humorous antics. This reader loved this.
