**SPOILER ALERT, but not too bad** A story of the culture and limited choices of old England, naivety, misunderstanding, and jealousy as a young girl finds the joy of what she believes is love and the sorrows of becoming an unwed mother in the late 1800's. She works through the consequences of her choices and discovers the importance of hope. This story flips back and forth between two seemingly unconnected lives was a little difficult to follow at first, but became more fluid as one progresses through the chapters. I'm glad I took the time to finish the book. Wonderful story. An interesting website to visit unpon completion is: http://foundlingvoices.foundlingmuseu....
