it was amazing

This is perhaps one of my favorite books of all-time. The ending makes me cry every time, with tears of understanding and illumination, not sadness. Camus' style is direct and blunt. Crisp, short sentences pervade the text. This book really taught me that not all fiction must be filled with long, flowing descriptions to be effective.

The underlying existential message is this novel's strong point. It leaves an impression and a slightly altered outlook on this life.
