it was ok
bookshelves: intrigue, legal-thriller
Read from July 11 to 12, 2012

I could possibly go 2.5 stars if that was an option, but this is much easier classified as OK compared to I liked it. This is probably my least favorite grisham book (and I have read all or almost all of them.).

Outside of a encountering Harry rex again, I didn't realy like any of the main characters. It was really hard to root for Ray, Forrest did not connecdt with me at all...inspite of his generosity to others I couldn't really care about the judge. It is really hard to cheer for or even care what unfolds in the lives of charcters who I don't have a personal connection with.

Their was a cool premise of where did 3 million dollars come from....but the story took forever to unfold and generate any momentum. I guess the final quarter of the book began to pick up steam and there was a cool little twist thrown in for good the end I didn't care about either brother anor what happened to them? I really won't spend a minute wondering what happens in a year. Normally I would curse an ending like this one...this time I was fine with it just ending.

I hope to encounter Harry rex again either way!
