it was ok

Confession...I did not finish this book. It's not that it wasn't interesting. It just didn't have enough "heart"--much too "factual" for me. So, to be fair, it just was not my cup of tea and in recent months I have decided that life is too short to finish a book JUST because you feel like you HAVE to. There are just too many other books beckoning me!

Karen Did you know there is a landscape architect in this book? Frederick Law Olmsted -- he's the father of LA and was the first one to coin the term.

Bobbi Woods No I did not know that! I will look for his name when it's mentioned. I am not very far in the book--been busy with Jake's return.

Lori Too bad. I loved this book. Made me wish that everything was still up so I could visit the Fair.
