liked it
bookshelves: poetry
Recommended for: New Yorker readers

Published one poem a week or month in a periodical with an accompanying Gorey image this would be amusing. As a collected volume it wasn't great because there is such sameness of mood and tone, and her verse really isn't great from a poetic standpoint. It may also appeal more to a different demographic, such as East Coast country club types. For me, one poem about tennis at the club was plenty.
