really liked it

This book is better than the 1st part of the trilogy. It focuses more of Slandar, hence the title the girl who played with fire. There are some references to the 1st part of the trilogy, some old characters still appeared like Berger, Blonkuvist, Burnjman (lawyer), Aransky, and the old guardian.

This book focuses on the sex-trade that comes from the East ( Eastern Europe and Russia ) ...a journalist and his criminologist partner who is writing a thesis about sex trade and will publish a book are shot.. who did it?

I felt there was a bit of Martin Beck in this book; the infamous Swedish policeman who was created in the 1960s, esp when discussing police matters and the failure iof the welfare state in the case of Lisbit Slandar.

Enjoyable book, it took me some time bc i was reading other books, and busy with life but It is better than the dragon tattoo.
