really liked it

This book was fantastic. Like most fantasy, this book is designed as simple guilty pleasure, and does not fail in the slightest. Unending actin and excitement on every page. The ambitious 820 pages is not to be overlooked. This book was a captivating read from start to finish. I absolutely loved it. A must read for fantasy lovers.

More captivating and actin packed than either Jordan or Martin, and more enjoyable and accessible than Abercrombie. Not better, per se, but more fun. Think Brown or Collins, but in a world of magic and adventure.

Mat Domaradzki I loved this book. I nearly lost it after reading the second one in the series. Don't read anything after the forth book (I would even say the third book; plot takes an extreme dive after that and becomes a preachy modern day Atlas Shrugged)

Robert Allen Agreed, but what an amazing guilty pleasure

Robert Allen You'll like the 2nd one even more
