This book blew me away. When I got to the last two chapters, I literally started convulsing, and I teared up. I got attached to Tasha, she reminded me so much of myself and so much of so many other black girls that I know. Her life is the life of the hood, the ghetto, the war zone that so many of us call home. It rattled me and it hurt to read it, but it also gives hope and that is what reading is all about for me.
