A Severe Mercy: A Story of Faith, Tragedy and Triumph

Even though I rated this 5 stars (because that's truly how I feel as I close the book), it took me a LONG time to get into it. In fact, I was really disappointed with the first half or 1/3rd. I REALLY wanted to like the book but felt it was dragging. Then, suddenly, something shifted and I was totally and utterly engaged. The kind of engaged where I can't put the book down. Then I cried, I was so moved by his story. I'm not sure what my problem was the first half, or if it was the book... but I'm SO glad I stuck with it because I find it incredible and a worthy read.
