Why did I read this? Actually, I skimmed everything past the middle and then read the last few pages. Hokey doesn't begin to describe this lame Mary Higgins Clark wanabe thriller. Now that's a scary premise: wanting to be MHC (not really, at her best she's miles above this mess).

This author wrote himself into a corner when he adopted the premise of an amnesia victim who can only remember things for one day. She wakes up and had forgotten everything. So Watson has to write the same things over and over again. Yikes. As her memory improves, he only has to write 3/4 of the same things over and over. Double yikes.
