I enjoy the setting and the premise, I also enjoy the fact that the author takes time to let things evolve and characters develop. sometimes it's frantic, sometimes not. Being able to keep quite a few characters, storylines and places together is also impressive. From time to time I got the feeling that the author chose the easier explanation or the less troublesome route to pursue, which goes hand in hand with the book not quite being edited to perfection. Aside from this, a few barely motivated and uncomfortably violent scenes, and a lot of military lingo and details of weapons, I enjoyed this book! It will be interesting to see what the next one offers!
