it was amazing
bookshelves: classics
Read in August, 2011

When my youngest daughter found out this book was originally published in 1902 and I was still going to read it, she warned me not to hurt myself. Instead of it being hard to get through as a good number of classics can be, it was an enjoyable journey. I loved it! I couldn't help myself. I have a soft spot for westerns since I grew up watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood westerns with my father. It had a little bit of everything: cattle rustlers, horse thieves, Indians, a lynching, a hero, a rescue, several bad guys, a shootout, humor, beautiful descriptions of the western frontier, etc. What more could I ask for?
